The Farm

More Than a Farm.
A Way of Living.

Monte Valeo was created with a simple belief: when we care for the land, the land cares for us. A living landscape that nourishes the soil, the body and the soul.

Self-sufficient living

Designed for Life Closer to the Land

Our farm is powered by the sun, supplied by our own water source and shaped by the changing seasons. Every tree we plant, all the soil we restore, is part of a long-term vision to regenerate the land for future generations.

Growing our own food as much as possible, regenerating the land and reducing dependence on external systems is at the heart of Monte Valeo.

Monte Valeo is a living project. Every season brings new plant species, gardens, orchards, food forests, wildlife and places to gather. We believe regeneration is never finished; it is a continuous relationship between people, soil, water and life itself.

The farm isn't simply the setting for your stay, it is the heart of the experience.

A Place That Keeps Growing

Across six hectares of rolling Andalusian hills, we're growing food regeneratively, planting Mediterranean trees, creating vegetable- and medicinal herb gardens, and creating spaces where people can reconnect with nature and with themselves. Everything here is designed to work with natural systems rather than against them.

Today our orchards include avocados, mangoes, olives, almonds, walnuts, figs, pomegranates, citrus fruits, peach, plum, carob and many other Mediterranean varieties. Every season we continue planting new trees, expanding our gardens and increasing the biodiversity of the land.

Monte Valeo is also home to chickens, ducks, and turkeys, bringing life and curiosity to every corner of the farm. Guests are welcome to collect fresh eggs, harvest vegetables and herbs, pick seasonal fruit or simply enjoy watching nature unfold around them.  In the near future, goats, miniature Highland cows and our own beehives will join the farm, each playing an important role in building a thriving regenerative ecosystem, increasing biodiversity and strengthening the resilience of the land.

SYNTROPIC AGROFORESTRY

Growing Diverse Food Forests

At Monte Valeo, we're gradually transforming parts of the farm into a diverse food forest, based on Syntropic Farming principles.  Syntropic agroforestry is a regenerative approach to growing food that takes its inspiration from natural forests. We’re not planting a single crop, but we’re growing different trees, shrubs, vegetables and groundcovers together in layers, creating a diverse ecosystem where each plant supports the others. As the system matures, the soil becomes richer, biodiversity increases and the land grows healthier year after year.  The goal is to mimic the layered abundance of natural forests. To create food while improving soil, biodiversity and long-term resilience. For us, this is about much more than growing food. It's about restoring ecosystems, increasing resilience and creating a landscape that will remain for generation to come.

REGENERATIVE FARMING

Giving Back to The Land

Regenerative farming is about working with nature rather than trying to control it. Instead of simply producing food, the goal is to restore ecosystems, build healthy soils, increase biodiversity and leave the land richer and more resilient with every passing season. We believe a farm should give back more than it takes. At Monte Valeo, every decision is guided by this philosophy. Through regenerative agriculture, syntropic agroforestry, composting, mulching and thoughtful water management, we're creating living systems that nourish both the landscape and the people who spend time here. Healthy soil captures more carbon, retains more water and supports an abundance of plants, insect, birds and wildlife, all working together as one interconnected ecosystem. Our vision is that the farm becomes more than a beautiful place to visit, it becomes a living example of how people and nature can thrive together, inspiring others to embrace a more regenerative way of living.

Nicole and Hayo have created a little paradise. We were welcomed with fresh avocados and eggs and instantly felt at home. We're already looking forward to seeing how this beautiful farm continues to grow.

The syntropic food forest, the orchards, the vegetable garden, you can feel the love and vision behind every corner of this land. A place that regenerates you as much as it regenerates itself.
